Queen of the World 2008 will be held - Dec. 13th 2008 at Pardorama Concress-Center at an altitude of 3000 meters, in Ischgl, Austria. Never before in pageants history was an international beauty contest held on top of a mountain. Ischgl is not only known as the ultimate hotspot for winter sports - enthusiasts, but as well for its Top-Events, extraordinary High-Life, celebrities and much more. Therefore it is no surprise that the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun is continuously voted among the best skiing areas in the Alps. As Ischgl boasts a huge area of fabulous (235 km) as well as latest it became the hotspot for skiers and boarders during the last decades and guarantees snow from the end of November until the beginning of May. In the middle of December, Ischgl becomes even more attractive: During the QUEEN OF THE WORLD pageant, Ischgl is for the second time searching the world’s most beautiful woman. Iqbal a model and studying in London, United Kingdom believes that she is making her mark in Europe as Miss Pakistan. She also stated that without her parent’s support she would not be where she is.
Iqbal said that Pakistani girls need a lot of support in the pageant industry and parents must play an important role in encouraging them. Iqbal hails from Lahore, Pakistan and is excited that this pageant will mark Pakistan’s 20th international pageant in just under 7 years. Sonia Ahmed, President of Miss Pakistan World said, “This year end of 2008 will prove that Pakistan is going strong in beauty pageants. The support for the Miss Pakistan World pageant is ever growing and the Pakistani people are getting more interested in knowing who these ambassadors are and as to what they do to represent Pakistan on an international scale worldwide. Our goal is to get Pakistan on the heights of recognition in pageantry and one day we will achieve that.
